Myrtle Beach Golf Trip Cost: Package Prices and What a Group Trip Really Runs

golfgolf tripgolf weekendguys golf weekendgolf trip expensesgreens feesMyrtle Beachexpense trackingtrip costs

Short answer: Myrtle Beach package companies quote a 3-night, 3- or 4-round golf trip at about $400 to $1,200+ per golfer. That range comes from the package sellers themselves. Myrtlebeachgolf.com says $400 to $1,200+. Golf Trek (yourgolfpackage.com) says $300+ to $1,200+, and puts the typical 3-night, 4-round trip at $450 to $700+. One real 2026–27 rate sheet, the Legends Meal Deal Package sold by Golf Package Central, runs from $483 to $837 per golfer depending on dates.

That number covers golf, a cart, taxes, and usually a shared villa. It is not the whole bill. Flights, rental clubs, extra rounds, dinners, the bar tab, and the rental car all sit outside the quote. A calculator from Scramble that adds food and transit to golf and lodging lands at about $1,422 per person for a mid-tier, 3-round trip, and that still leaves out flights.

This post covers the money only. For dates, a trip leader, and the group chat, see how to plan a guys golf weekend.

The published ranges, and why they don't match

Myrtle Beach has no official average trip price. What you'll find are ranges published by companies that sell packages. They're useful, but they're sales pages, and they don't agree with each other:

  • Myrtlebeachgolf.com ("How Much Does a Golf Package Cost?", updated for 2026 trips): $400 to $1,200+ per golfer overall. It lists budget at $400–$700, mid-range at $700–$1,000, and premium at $1,000+. It calls $700 to $1,000 "a realistic mid-range package for many groups."
  • Golf Trek / yourgolfpackage.com (cost guide dated May 2026): $300+ to $1,200+ per golfer. It lists budget at $300–$500+, mid-range at $450–$700+, and premium at $800–$1,200+. It says most golfers should budget $450–$700+ for a 3-night, 4-round package.
  • Outing.golf (trip planner, updated June 2026): $500 to $1,200 per person for a 3-night, 3-round trip in spring or fall "as of 2026." It lists budget at $500–$700, mid-range at $700–$950, and premium at $950–$1,200+.

So "mid-range" means $450–$700+ to one seller and $700–$1,000 to another. We won't average those into a number nobody published. The floor is a few hundred dollars per golfer, the ceiling is past $1,200, and dates, courses, and lodging decide where you land.

Golf Trek also estimates by group size: about $550–$900+ each for 4 golfers, $450–$800+ for 8, and $400–$750+ for 12 or more. Those are estimates, not a promise that bigger groups pay less.

What a Myrtle Beach package usually includes

Here's what the package pages we read actually list. Read your own quote line by line, because inclusions vary by package.

Legends Meal Deal Package (Golf Package Central):

  • Green fees, cart fees, and taxes. The page says all of its Myrtle Beach packages include these.
  • Lodging based on 4 golfers per 2-bedroom villa. The rate table header says pricing includes accommodation. A footnote on the same page also offers 3 nights at Legends Resort as an add-on for $99 per golfer, or 4 nights for $108. Ask the seller which version your quote is.
  • 4 rounds for the price of 3. The free 4th round is "typically after 1:00 most of the year."
  • Breakfast, lunch, and two draft beers with each round.
  • Daily housekeeping and unlimited range use at the resort.

Barefoot Experience Package (Barefoot Resort & Golf):

  • 3 nights in a golf villa, with Yacht Club villas at an upcharge
  • 4 rounds, one each on the Norman, Love, Fazio, and Dye courses, with one round played after noon
  • Cart fees, taxes, and daily breakfast at the resort clubhouse
  • Free range balls ("not unlimited")
  • Access to "preferred replay rates"
  • A 2% administrative fee added to all advertised packages. That's a line you won't see in the headline price.

Myrtle Beach Must-Play Golf Package, 6 rounds / 7 nights (Tee-Links):

  • Green fees, cart, and taxes
  • 7 nights in a 2-bedroom villa with 4 players per villa
  • Breakfast, lunch, and 2 drinks at three of the six courses (Parkland, Moorland, Heritage)

What the packages don't cover

None of these package pages lists the following, so plan on paying for them yourself:

  • Flights. Scramble says flights "aren't included" because they depend on your home airport. Outing.golf notes that many East Coast groups drive instead.
  • A rental car. Outing.golf says courses are spread over about 60 miles of coastline and suggests one car per foursome.
  • Replay rounds. Barefoot offers replays at preferred rates, which means they cost extra.
  • Rental clubs. No package above includes them. Prices are below.
  • Caddies. None of the package pages we read mentions one.
  • Dinner, and drinks beyond what's bundled. Legends includes two beers per round and Tee-Links includes two drinks at three courses. Dinner, the clubhouse bar after that, and anything at the condo are on you.

Real package prices, with dates

These are the prices those sellers were asking for those specific trips when we checked. They show what a real quote looks like. They are not a citywide average.

Legends Meal Deal Package, Golf Package Central. 3 nights / 4 rounds, priced per golfer with 4 golfers per 2-bedroom villa:

DatesPrice per golfer
Sep 10 – Oct 25, 2026$696
Oct 26 – Nov 8, 2026$555
Nov 9 – Nov 15, 2026$543
Nov 16 – Dec 31, 2026$483
Jan 1 – Feb 3, 2027$492
Feb 4 – Feb 17, 2027$543
Feb 18 – Mar 3, 2027$693
Mar 4 – Mar 24, 2027$741
Mar 25 – May 2, 2027$837
May 3 – May 30, 2027$744
May 31 – Jun 30, 2027$558
Jul 1 – Aug 25, 2027$513

The page also notes that onsite lodging is sold out on several fall 2026 dates and on April 8, 2027, with "other options available." If you're quoted one of those dates, ask what lodging you'd actually get.

Myrtle Beach Must-Play Golf Package, Tee-Links. 6 rounds / 7 nights, listed at $585.76 per person, marked down from $710. The courses are Legends Parkland, Heritage Club, Legends Moorland, River Hills, Aberdeen, and South Creek. Availability is listed as 11/03 – 1/1 with no year given. There's a catch for small groups: it requires 12, 16, or 20 players, plus a $100 deposit per player. A foursome can't book it as listed.

Barefoot Experience Package, Barefoot Resort & Golf. The rate page shows dollar signs ($$$ to $$$$$) by date instead of dollar amounts, so you have to request a quote. It does say every date range gets 25% off each of the 4 rounds.

Peak season vs. off-season

The Legends table is the clearest view of seasonal swing we found, because the same package is priced across a full year:

  • Lowest: $483 per golfer, Nov 16 – Dec 31, 2026
  • Highest: $837 per golfer, Mar 25 – May 2, 2027

That's a $354-per-golfer difference for the same 3 nights and 4 rounds. Fall 2026 (Sep 10 – Oct 25) is $696, and summer 2027 (Jul 1 – Aug 25) drops to $513.

Barefoot's chart shows the same pattern in dollar signs, with $$$$$ in late March and late April into early May 2027. Myrtlebeachgolf.com and Golf Trek both call spring and fall the high-demand seasons, but the Legends sheet is the only one here that puts dollars on it.

Turning a per-person price into a trip total

Package prices are per golfer, so the group's total grows with every player. Here's the basic math, labeled for what it is.

Example only, not a quote. Using the Legends Meal Deal rates above:

DatesPer golfer4 golfers8 golfers
Nov 16 – Dec 31, 2026$483$1,932$3,864
Oct 26 – Nov 8, 2026$555$2,220$4,440
Mar 25 – May 2, 2027$837$3,348$6,696

These are just the published per-golfer price multiplied by headcount. They aren't a market quote and don't include anything outside the package. The package assumes 4 golfers per 2-bedroom villa, so a group of 8 takes two villas. A group of 6 means asking how the seller prices a partly filled villa.

Scramble's estimate shows how much sits outside the package. Its sample is 4 golfers, 3 rounds, mid-tier lodging, peak green fees, and it breaks down per person like this:

  • Golf: $627 for 3 rounds
  • Lodging: $195 for 3 nights, shared
  • Food: $400 for 4 days (about $100 a day)
  • Transit: $200 for a split rental car (about $50 a day)
  • Total: about $1,422 per person, $5,688 for the group, flights not included

Scramble calls these estimates based on each course's peak published rate (Tidewater, Caledonia, and Barefoot's Dye). The useful part is that food and getting around added $600 per person on top of golf and lodging.

What people add on

These are the costs that turn a $555 package into a bigger number. Here are the ones we found posted prices for:

Rental clubs.

  • Myrtle Beach National's pro shop lists rental sets at $65 per 18 holes or $40 per 9 holes, including two sleeves of balls.
  • Myrtle Beach Golf Club Rentals, a standalone rental company, lists per-set rates including sales tax: 1 day $45 ($40 cash), 2 days $80 ($75), 3 days $100 ($90), 4 days $110 ($100), 5–7 days $120 ($110), and $10 a day after 7.

So for four rounds, renting at the course could cost much more than one multi-day set from a rental shop. Whether that beats flying your own golf clubs in a golf travel case depends on your airline's bag fee, which isn't covered here. If you bring your own set, also pack golf shoes and a few sleeves of golf balls. The course rental includes balls, but four rounds on resort courses will use up more than two sleeves.

Extra rounds and replays. Barefoot offers package guests preferred replay rates but doesn't post the dollar amount. Legends' free 4th round usually has a PM restriction. If the group wants a 5th round or a morning replay, get that price in writing before you go.

Dinners and drinks. We didn't find a posted price we could trust for a Myrtle Beach group dinner or a round at the bar, so we won't make one up. Scramble's flat food estimate is about $100 per person per day, after the breakfast and lunch some packages include. Treat that as Scramble's assumption, not a menu price.

The admin line. Barefoot's 2% administrative fee is small, but it's the kind of charge that makes the final invoice not match the number in the group text.

The package gets paid as one deposit, but the extras land on different cards: the rental car, a dinner, a three-day club rental. That's where groups lose track. For how to split them fairly, see golf trip expenses: who owes who. It's the same settle-up habit hunting crews use with the hunting trip cost calculator, but for golf money, use the calculator.

Before you book

  • Confirm the lodging line. Golf Package Central's page shows both lodging-included pricing and a $99 lodging add-on.
  • Check group-size and tee-time rules. Tee-Links needs 12+ players, Legends assumes 4 per villa, and both Legends and Barefoot put a round in the afternoon.
  • Get the fees in writing. That means the admin fee, deposits, and replay prices.
  • Pack once. Golf trip packing without a spreadsheet covers the bag. Add golf gloves for four rounds in a few days.

If it's the group's first trip together, read your first guys golf weekend.

Bottom line

A packaged Myrtle Beach golf trip is sold at roughly $400 to $1,200+ per golfer, according to the package companies. One real 2026–27 rate sheet, Golf Package Central's Legends Meal Deal, runs $483 in December to $837 in spring for 3 nights and 4 rounds. The sellers don't agree on what counts as "mid-range," and none of them publishes an independent average.

Whatever the package costs, the trip costs more. Flights, the rental car, rental clubs ($45 a day from a rental shop or $65 a round at Myrtle Beach National), replays, dinners, and drinks all come on top. Scramble's all-in estimate of about $1,422 per person, before flights, is a reminder of how far past the package price a trip can go. Get the package price from the seller, multiply it by headcount, and then track the extras as they happen so the settle-up doesn't turn into another argument.
